Each row of numbers has a common total, each column of numbers has the same common total, and the numbers in each of the two diagonals have the same total. We called this a "magic square."

Now, can you arrange the numbers 1 to 25 so as to form a magic square? This square will have five numbers in each row, column, and diagonal. And the numbers in each of these will add up to the same total.

This is one of many possible solutions: Column 1= 17,23,4,10,11...Column 2= 24,5,6,12,18...Column 3= 1,7,13,19,25...Column 4= 8,14,20,21,2...Column 5= 15,16,22,3,9. All the rows, columns and diagonals add up to 65.
