You are in a room with a man who wants to test your ingenuity. The only other things present are a desk containing a bottle of ink with a stopper and a two-by-four. The tester tells you he wants you to place the two-by-four vertically between the ceiling and the floor. The ceiling is exactly ten feet above the floor while the two-by-four is only nine feet and ten inches long. How can you accomplish the chore he has set for you?
