Two soldiers have been ordered to do the following chores:
1. Peel potatoes.
2. Do the dishes.
3. Mow the lawn.
Each of these chores, when done by one person, takes one hour. If they start at 8 A.M., what could they do to take as little time as possible if they have only one knife, one lawn mower, and one sink with room for one person?

By leaving a task half done for example, peeling potatoes, so that the next soldier can finish it, they can do all the tasks in l hour and 30 minutes.
